FAQs
Can I use lacquer as a colorant instead of using color concentrate dispersants with a gel medium?
Technically, yes – you can mix these two products together and obtain an effective end gel product, however, we do NOT recommend it. By mixing a VOC solvent lacquer into a gel product, you can experience premature hardening of the product in the bottle and negatively affect curing and shelf life.

Is the Smoothing Base Coat compatible with all GRI products?
Yes it is. While it is unnecessary to use a base coat with our 2-step Suspension Extender Base Gel coat or Glitter base, you may find it useful aesthetically on nails that have ridges or other imperfections since it acts as a concealer by creating a silky smooth surface.

Why do wrinkles occasionally appear when applying dark shades?
Whenever wrinkles occur, it is because the product has been applied too thickly. Dark shades are particularly vulnerable since the dark color inherently blocks light when curing. We recommend applying two thin coats of product for proper curing. And, thinner coats = more services per bottle!

Why does the nail surface become tacky after curing the Gel and Top Coat?
This is a natural characteristic of a safe, solvent-free product. Simply wipe the surface with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (minimum 70%) after curing to remove the inhibition layer tack and reveal a glossy tackless shine.
